But was top-scorer for the colonials, who included The Joke in their line-up. It's going to be mighty strange on Sky Sports this year without having The Joke jumping on a team mates machinery because his own is rubbish. Didn't Janniro only manage 2 points, or something like that, in the match? Definitely not saying a lot to say you outscored him ;D Anyway, if you are really, really lucky, Billy might get drafted in mid-season and still appear on Sky. Only problem is that he might not have the bikes organised right if he has to make a mid-season entry

Is Billy J not riding in Britain this year ? No, Coventry decided Chris Harris could have his machinery all to himself this season. Doesn't Barker go on the cadge now and again ?

Didn't Janniro only manage 2 points, or something like that, in the match? He did indeed. Only two riders scored less than him, and they were both on his team: SWC Qualifier - Miskolc

Anyway, word from the Scotwaste Arena tonight is that a foot of the white stuff (snow) has descended on Poland and Gorzow have cancelled their training session, so Thomas H Jonasson will be at Ashfield this Sunday, unless he's hurt himself as a result of his tumble at Armadale tonight.

Its was a nasty fall a "collar bone" breaker as they say. However he did walk back to the pits un aided. Exact same place and kind of fall as Lawson, where he picked up his injury.

It was, apparently, announced over the tannoy at the Scotwaste Arena on Friday. But the Poles are adept at sorting out a track. They managed to get the 1992 world final to a conclusion after a deluge and I remember reading that they came up with an ingenious solution when heavy rain threatened an SWC round at Leszno in the mid-1980s - apparently they brought in a load of straw, spread it on the track, set in on fire and let it dry the track out.

Just about to post about him myself. He's been given the Swedish entry to the GP qualifers on June 6th in Lonigo. Edinburgh have a home fixture on the 5th.

And Rye House are usually more than useful around the Scotwaste Arena - not the meeting Edinburgh would want to be missing their rising Swedish star.

All of which begs the question as to why the hell it was announced on the tannoy that Jonasson would be at Ashfield? Possibly an ultimatum?

I really don't see what the fuss is about with this particular absence. At the end of the day both fixtures are pre-season cobweb-blowers. IMO this is nothing more than the promotion making noises to appease the Monarchs fans and is of little consequence. We all know the riders wear the trousers in these relationships. They'll be fawning over him after he flies around Owlerton on Thursday night. Rico
