This week sees the Sky cameras - accompanied, one presumes, by the screaming imbecile and the global superstar's official crash helmet carrier - heading down to the south coast and Poole for a clash between the Pirates and Belle Vue. Yes, Belle Vue. I know the Sky website still says Peterborough are the visitors, but everyone else says it's Belle Vue, including the official crash helmet carrier in his blog on the Sky website. So, it is Belle Vue, honest. Would I lie to you? Anyway, it's the second time that the Sky have visited Wimborne Road this season...look, I don't know why it isn't Peterborough, I just know it isn't, can we leave it at that? The first visit was to for a Poole versus Swindon clash in the early part of the season. And that was a rather dull meeting, it has to be said. This one probably will be too. And not just because of the presence of Bjarne Pedersen. Belle Vue aren't in the same bracket as the Pirates. But Jason Crump should provide some opposition and his races with Chris Holder should be worth watching. I'd anticipate that Poole will win and win big.

Can't say I'm thrilled about this being on SKY either. I just hope we don't embarass ourselves too much. No doubt Gjedde and Screen will notch up about 9 points between them whilst Hougaard and Forsberg show them how to ride Wimborne Road properly. Aces should line up like this:
1. Crump 2. R/R 3. Gjedde 4. Hougaard 5. Screen 6. Burza 7. Forsberg
Yes..that'll be Stan Burza at reserve in place of Nick Simmons. Don't know why but we've signed him for the remainder of the season.

She's an improvement on Sophie. Shame the speedway hasn't improved at the same time. Another bloody borefest, made even more irritating by bill and ben the flower potmen shouting and screaming. Not to mention Twatum telling us how to ride wet tracks.......two spots of rain and he used to run for his van, so how the fuck would he know how to ride wet tracks.

Hello Mr and Mrs Speedway Supporter, please bend over while we fuck you royally. We have Sky here, so come hell or high water and with the help of half a rain forest of sawdust we'll get to Ht 13. You peasants can stand and sit around in the pouring rain and having paid for 15 heats, we'll give you 13 and you can count yourselves fortunate. In short, a fucking disgrace.

Don't tar us all with the same brush! I assume it's not just me getting a great deal of enjoyment out of seeing Tatum looking quite so wet and dejected?! It was going to take a lot to get a laugh out of me tonight, but it has to be said that tatum has achieved it. He's ever more closely resembling my cat when she gets caught in a heavy rain shower! MY other half made me smile too - he said "Honestly - you;d never believe someone who looks as much like a fish as Tatum would look quite so unhappy with that amount of water around him!" ;D

another ridiculous rant sub ? How so? Maybe you like being treated with contempt? Good luck to you if you do. People paid good money to see a full meeting tonight and they've been short-changed. This meeting wouldn't have got past Ht 5 if the cameras hadn't been there.

This meeting wouldn't have got past Ht 5 if the cameras hadn't been there. why ? the rain kept stopping, the sky looked promising for a while.the bspa rep even said none of the riders had complained. you seem to forget the viewers at home, those that had travelled from belle vue, those that had booked holidays in the region to attend tonight, all the poole fans that dont live walking distance from the stadium, all the riders mechanics etc. how can you possibly suggest the meeting should have been abandoned when the only persistant rain did not fall until after heat 13. your rants and rages have to have some sort of credibility sub.

And they paid good money for 15 heats and were shafted. But, obviously being a cuckolded Peterborough fan, you're used to being fucked and enjoy it. I don't.

I don't. hurling insults ? the last resort of the debator who cannot possibly win. for the record the only 4 times i have been to peterborough were to watch Millwall play peterborough united. back to the matter in hand, you are suggesting the riders should have completed the last two heats in driving rain just to give the spectators 15 heats ? or that after 5 races with the rain having stopped and the sky looking bright, they should have switched off the cameras refunded the entrance money, and told everyone to fuck off home ? thank god your not involved with the running of this sport. oh and yet another yawn yawn yawn jibe at simon stead ?,you know for a fact do you that his thumb is merely sore ?

Yes, it should've been abandoned after 5 heats. And it would've been if the Sky cameras hadn't been there. Better to have the paying public refunded then shafted by an unseemly panic to call the meeting off after Ht 13. Shameful, really.
