And finally the Sky cameras visit the heartland of young stanley's revolution in Essex. Why's it taken them so long? Anyway, following his high-profile comments about the track and entertainment at the recently televised Eastbourne versus Lakeside meeting, young stanley will surely be going all out to provide the viewing public with some top-class racing. So it should be good. The Hammers are flying high, while the Bees are in the doldrums. Will the missing Messing be there? How will "Stan Storm", who was almost a Hammer during the bad old days of Ronnie Russell (he was signed and then dumped a couple of days later) get along when he finally appears at the Arena Essex raceway? Those questions and more will be answered on Monday night, when I expect the Hammers to win comfortably.

Not wishing to appear thick again Sub, but why is the Lakeside promoter nicknamed Stanley?

Not wishing to appear thick again Sub, but why is the Lakeside promoter nicknamed Stanley? It's the name he used on the Arena Essex forum when he became club sponsor back during the Ronnie Russell days. I don't know why he selected that name, you'll have to ask him. I understand that Lakeside are dedicating this meeting to Children with Leukaemia, in the hope that they'll raise a bit of cash for the charity and raise its profile.

R/R for Harris, but "Missing" and Janniro return for the Bees. Has his nose fallen off then? Bloody wimp. Put a mask on, and he's as good as new. Lakeside shopping centre to win 51-42.

Messing goes from one extreme to the other - absent to omnipresent.

Poor riding from Stead, almost knocking off his team mate - twice.

Oh yes, Simon Stead is certainly showing his worth tonight to be called into 'Team GB'. Great call, Jim Lynch.

Is Simon Stead the least tactically aware rider I have ever seen? Do Carlsberg create speedway riders...
He showed great joy at his selection for the WTC in a fortnight.

Fasntastic last rast - great stuff. Best race of the Elite League season shown on Sky so far. Jonsson was outstanding. And Shields wasn't too shabby.

Well, heat 15 has to be the best race I've seen all year. Brilliant result for the Hammers, and Andreas Jonsson looking awesome.
