Fasntastic last rast - great stuff. Best race of the Elite League season shown on Sky so far. Jonsson was outstanding. And Shields wasn't too shabby. The last race woke me up. Until then I was beginning to doze off. Very poor meeting tonight. Gave up long before the last race i'm afraid .

Paulco - after the snooze-fest we witnessed in the corresponding match at Brandon, I wonder if all Coventry/Lakeside matches are destined to be boring. Doesn't bode too well for the Craven Shield Final.

I find it quite funny when visiting fans always moan about Foxhall track, when Jason Crump and Chris Holder rate it amongst their favourites to race on, however even Adam Shields was saying how difficult it was to race on his home track last night . I'm afraid that was yet another borefest involving Lakeside on the TV. Seems ironic that Coventry have had few meetings this season, and now have loads coming up and they have 2 of their pivotal riders missing. Sods law I suppose. I tipped them at the start of the season, and haven't changed my opinion yet so still expect Lakeside to be there or thereabouts at the season's end. Just hope they are not in the top 2 with that funny track

It was interesting to see just how tight Lanham takes that first/second bend after having to go away from the white line due to the shape of the bend. Don't think I've seen a tighter turn anywhere else, he was sideways in the middle of the bend. Seems to work though
