Drove past the stadium this morning & the area is drying up. Stadium looked open so I guess Dougie & Eric are already on the case in getting the track ready. Suppose to warm up a bit later on and no more rain today so hoping the track will dry out just enough to suit our boys.
Can't see the meeting being as strung out as some people are predicting. Reading's home form has been a bit iffy to say the least so far this season.
Rye generally go well at Smallmead whoever's in the team. Neath normally puts a good score in, Woffinden I would imagine will only be beated once by Ostergaard and Mear put up a good show on the track at the end of last season.
Can't remember last time I saw Ekberg ride Smallmead - Bowen never really pulled up too many trees before but has the experience on Glanz. Two Lap Tommy, well as the name suggest he's not been overly consistant at Smallmead in recent years (he'll be a match winner for them tonight now). Dunno who the other reserve is.
Reading will need all their riders scoring good points to ensure a home win tonight, but I think there'll only be between 4 -8 points between the two sides.

Wacks do you know if both Bowen and Allen are back for tonights meeting?
Should make things a little closer if so especially if Rye House don't have to use Halsey at reserve!
Thanks

This has improved since the riders got a race under their belt. Still not the best meeting they could have picked but it is better than some of the meetings they have shown this year. The only thing that spoilts Woffinden's win of Ostergaaaaaaard was the 'Wuffy, Wuffy, Wuffy' at the end
