How to lose a meeting in one easy lesson . Really pissed off with our lads TBH. Poor Swidders, was really down in the dumps tonight, but it really shows how much we have relied on him. But he'll bounce back no probs. Just a point of interest, Joel Parsons average, anyone know what it is, as apparently it is now too high for him to have replaced Pipjer, but the BSPA allowed him to ride, over Referee's head . No sour grapes intended, as Swindon probably wanted this win more than us, but play fair FGS.

Maybe someone should get on the phone to recall Mike Smillie Perish the thought! Wash your mouth out Genghis! ;D The only thing that saved tonight from total embarrassement was that the gormless one wasn't there. LW - on the contrary, you may have won with him there. I suspect he'd have used up Schramm's third ride earlier than Heat 14. Johno made a good getaway in Heat 14, but Korneliussen was able to concentrate in pushing Johno wide on the first bend. With Kroner in that race, and the Ippo pair off the favourable gates (2/4), it should have been a 4-2 or 5-1 to Ipswich. I feel a change to my sig coming on.

According to the BSPA site it's 5.96 in the PL, which is fine as it converts to under 6.00, which would presumably be why the BSPA would have allowed it.

what's happened to swidders... Personally I think he was just trying too hard in front of the cameras. Yeh, the TV nerves got to a few of them last night I think. Just as a matter of interest Ippo fans, did the presence of Sky affect the attendance last night?

From http://www.speedwayworld.tv:
IPSWICH intend to protest their home defeat by Swindon due to the Robins' use of Joel Parsons as a guest for the injured Theo Pijper. Parsons completed three home and three away matches for his Premier League club Sheffield on April 5, meaning his new average should have taken effect seven days later - and that figure would have been too high to guest for Pijper. Parsons then scored a crucial seven (paid eleven) for the Robins as they overturned a 10-point deficit to win 50-43 at Foxhall. Ipswich promoter John Louis said: "I am absolutely disgusted. The rules are crystal clear and were in use last season. "The BSPA appear to have made an oversight, but that does not alter the fact that Parsons' average was too high for him to ride last night. Even if they didn't know until yesterday, Swindon still had enough opportunity to track a legal rider." Despite the row over the guest rider, Ipswich were still far from happy with their display as they became only the second Elite League team to drop points at home. Captain Chris Louis said: "Things have got to be put right. Last night was very disappointing, and we have thrown away meetings with second half collapses far too often this year. "I did not expect a team like Swindon to come to Foxhall and win. We have to do something."

I assume then that his score would be deducted, what did he actually score last night, I can't remember?

7+4. A precedent has been set this year already, so the points should technically be deducted, if there's any consistency. However, with the BSPA seemingly approving him to ride, this one could be interesting.

Can they do that? Deduct the points after the event? Surely, if the BSPA have made an oversight then that is their fault for not spotting it - bit unfair to deduct points afterwards.....

Interesting, very interesting. You have to say that Joel Parsons has had a super night for the Robins. Also have to say, because I'm a fair-minded short of chap, that the screaming imbecile has done a very good job in the pits. OK, whoever has kidnapped the old Mongol, please could they return him. ;D I have my own shock admission tonight - Rosco, for once, did a rather good job. He fired up his team, while keeping hold of his own temper. In contrast, the new Ippo manager seems a bit clueless - there's no way Schramm's third ride should have been left until Heat 14. He should have been put out in Heat 12, to give Tobi K a breather after his fall in the previous race. Heat 14 could have been transformed with Kroner out there. Maybe someone should get on the phone to recall Mike Smillie Rob you say somethink nice about rosco now go and have a lie down old chap . As fo the ippo tm he made a pigs ear of it, to me he should have let schramm go off 15 m when he hit the tapes and let tobi go in heat 12 and heat 14 also why the fuck did he pick gates 1 and 3 in heat 15 did he not watch the rest of the match 2 and 4 were the best by mile bring back the smiley one .

However, with the BSPA seemingly approving him to ride, this one could be interesting. The BSPA didn't approving him to ride. The BSPA failed to adjust his average in time so he was still, technically, on his old average. It was the SCB who, upon Swindon seeking clarification during the afternoon, cleared him to ride. It was all sorted out before the match began.

Bit surprised you're not showing a concern over the number of people in attendance last night - but then again, not Peterborough was it?

Think you will find that Parsons has an interim average (3H and 3A) and it does not come into effect until 7 days after it was attained. I presume it was attained last week, therefore that is why his old average applied. Those am the rules.

Is the 3H 3A average for the purposes of team position only and his original average stands for Team building and guests until 6H 6A?
I think?

I do not pretend to understand all the rules, and was not aware of any guest rider either. We both wanted Ipswich to win though but I think irrespective, it was a case of them losing rather than Swindon winning without being disrespectful to Swindon and their enthusiastic manager. Ipswich - must try harder. ;D
Even I am noticing the mistakes from the SKY commentators now. 'Chris Adams'? Well, no one is perfect and its better to have it on our screens than not.
Brilliant riding by Leigh again, though it was a difficult track to race if he gets out of shape on it.
