Even I am noticing the mistakes from the SKY commentators now. 'Chris Adams'? Perhaps he meant Leigh Louis? I found Nigel Pearson to be well suited to last nights role. For some reason Tony Millard seemed less irritating than usual, perhaps has he been lobotomised. Or perhaps my threat to run him over with a flail mower if he should mention Mildura was on his mind.

Just a point of interest, Joel Parsons average, anyone know what it is, as apparently it is now too high for him to have replaced Pipjer, but the BSPA allowed him to ride, over Referee's head . Think you will find that Parsons has an interim average (3H and 3A) and it does not come into effect until 7 days after it was attained. I presume it was attained last week, therefore that is why his old average applied. Those am the rules. Apparently the 7 days was up on April 12th, but an oversight by whomever mean't it hadn't been updated. So Swindon were aware of it and had called Shaun Tacey to ride, however the Referee wasn't happy about Parson's riding, but apparently Graham Reeve OK'd it. At the end of the day Ipswich lost this match because they weren't good enough, not because of Joel Parsons but the more of this rule bending that goes on, the worse (if possible) speedway will become.

For some reason Tony Millard seemed less irritating than usual, Could the reason for that be that Sam Ermolenko was next to him in the commentary box? Why is it that Ermolenko cannot say any riders' surname if it has more than two syllables?

LW - on the contrary, you may have won with him there. I suspect he'd have used up Schramm's third ride earlier than Heat 14. Johno made a good getaway in Heat 14, but Korneliussen was able to concentrate in pushing Johno wide on the first bend. With Kroner in that race, and the Ippo pair off the favourable gates (2/4), it should have been a 4-2 or 5-1 to Ipswich. I feel a change to my sig coming on. Bit surprised you're not showing a concern over the number of people in attendance last night - but then again, not Peterborough was it? The Sky meeting hits every clubs attendance, but for whatever reason it seems to hit us at Ipswich harder than most. The last time we were on was against Swindon a couple of seasons ago and the crowd was very poor that night too. No problems with the attendance generally though from week to week as the crowds are always very healthy at the heath as i'm sure you already know Edit: I'm not sure that will continue to be the case though if we put in many more performances like yesterday

Ah ok didn't know that. Surprised by Parsons, did ok, but looked extremely uncomfortable on the bike in many of his rides, was expecting him to fall off a couple of times but he hung on. 10 points up and lose by 7.....yup that ain't good!! At least Swidders did his average no harm ;D

Why is it that Ermolenko cannot say any riders' surname if it has more than two syllables? I thought Millard was flattered by Ermolenko too. Was I the only one that noticed that Shakespeares Yorick was riding last night Well I'm pretty sure that's what Ermolenko said...Yorick Hampel. And will someone for fucks sake tell him we do NOT have straightaways in Britain.

Why is it that Ermolenko cannot say any riders' surname if it has more than two syllables? Its an American trait of speaking English. He is only doing what he has been taught Kev. There is a Canadian racer known as Miguel Duhamel. The American commentators break his surname into three syllables. 'Du-Ham-El , where most of us in the UK would only break it into only two syllables. 'Du-Hamel'. American's say 'Du-Cati where we say it in one syllable. Ducati. Its pretty poor when the only reason you have to hit on the guy is the way he has been taught to speak English.

I could live with his accent, I could live with him only pronouncing the first syllable of a name.........what I can't stand is how he talks and talks and talks.........but says absolutely nothing!!!!

I don't mind young Ermolenko, to be honest. And nor do I mind Millard. And if they keep him in the pits, I think I could tolerate Pearson as well.

Well, that is another trait of Americans Kev.. ;D Seriously, he is a very nice guy and I am sure though he seems to irritate a lot with his American Euphemisms such 'straightaway' he only has the interest of speedway as a sport to heart. Just as thought. Why don't we pick on those that have a go at the sport rather than those that promote it in some what different ways than what personally appeals to us. After all, are we not all peeing in the same pot?

How can you not mind Millard? He's fucking awful - it's one mistake after another - it's embarrassing. Pearson is the superior commentator. What Sky need is a new commentator to share meetings with Pearson, thereby also allowing Pearson the odd excursion into the pits.

Yes, I know he's a nice guy Jim, I spoke to him in Poznan last year, and I'm sure you're right about his intentions..........he just doesn't float my boat as a presenter......in fact he sinks the bloody thing. I've read your last paragraph three or four times, and you know what? I can't disagree with a word of it!!!

Perish the thought! Wash your mouth out Genghis! ;D The only thing that saved tonight from total embarrassement was that the gormless one wasn't there. I feel a change to my sig coming on. Genghis remove that signature immediately. Pete might not have perfected the art of using the tacticals just yet, but at least he can string a sentence together without looking a prize twonk! ;D
