I read it and didn't disagree with any of it, thats probably why... Neither do I. I wish Subedei had not mentioned the cosy style of Peter Oakes because that element of his personality has worried me before and does not now seem to work without Nicholls on the team. (edited to avoid offence to a particular kind of pervert) As for the neck brace, they are not yet a proven benefit unlike the Hans device in four wheeled motor sport where that piece of kit has to be integrated with the restraints and seating. And the device Schlein wears just looks plain silly in the same way as something woolly knitted by your granny that gets consigned to the bottom drawer or the charity shop 10 pence box... Can't comment on the presentation because I watched the recording in fast forward between races and with the sound way down. But the camera work was poor. When I saw the rapid cam device beforehand I thought we might be in for a treat as I saw something similar in use at Donington Park but this one appeared to be operated by an amateur (edited to avoid offence to tetraplegics). To confirm Subedei's view of some of the idiot presentation team, Jonathan Green did a warm-up routine that made me shake my head in disbelief. He actually rehearses his bouncing drivel!

What surprises me, is that heat 15 comprised of all British riders, and Sky didn't highlight it and no-one on here either. Don't think we will see many of them this season do you ? As a neutral I enjoyed the meeting very much, and am glad the season has started so well (with even- ish meetings) and that 3 pts for an away win

I was surprised by the genuine shock in the Green/Tatum axis that accompanied Eastbourne winning the first 3 races to be honest, which became a trend throughout. Eastbourne have a handy side this year, coupled with Coventry not having the best night it wasn't that unexpected surely? I don't think Eastie were particularly long odds before the meeting started (though I stand to be corrected on that)

Bugger - I obviously tuned out the bit where Kennett was interviewed.....I love hearing him make a tit of himself too so if anyone could enlighten me 'd be grateful!
I thought it was, barring a couple of heats, a bit of a yawn-fest I'm afraid. It had entertaining bits, don't get me wrong, but they were mainly of the "Oh just look at Oakes's face NOW!" variety, rather than the "Oh that's a good race" variant.
Badge, I expect to be kept fully up to date on friday night. Not many away meetings for me this season sadly as I can't really spare either the cash OR the time off work. Hmmmm.....I wonder if I can get away with leaving work at 4.30pm and making a dash for it?!

My God, can't see that happening TBH, our track specialist seems to be Robert at Brandon, if he's fully recovered, and with the flying Swidders and Hampel as well, think it's unlikely don't you ;D

Don't know about Olly's interview, What really wound me up about that was his intention to "do what I did last season" For fucks sake he should aim for more than last year. Can you imagine a Dane or an Aussie saying that. And folk wonder why Team GB get nowhere .

Can you imagine a Dane or an Aussie saying that. And folk wonder why Team GB get nowhere . By "do what I did last season" I take it he means showing us all how bad his shoulder injury is by giving Billy "Big Mac and Fries Please" Janniro the bumps in the play off final? Still pisses me off now. I was right about the close result and Eastie clinching it. Having listened to the drivel coming from Pearson (again) I was wishing that Floppy had been in the commentary box with himrather than Jonno. At least Floppy was lucid occassionally and would take the piss out of Pearson.

We really enjoyed it for a change. I guess it would seem easy to say it now but actually, I had an incline that Eastbourne might take this one. Denise was cheering for Coventry and I for Eastbourne, so it was causing a mild domestic here. ;D If you didn't get the odd incident or breakdown etc., it would not be the same. Its OK saying shoulda, woulda, coulda, but its like real life. It does not always happen according to plan. Hope the Sky televised meetings are just as good next week and I might just start to enjoy team speedway....
