Well this is an easy one - Ferrari should walk it. It's been ten years since a McLaren won at the Nurburgring, and I can't see why this one should be any different, especially seeing as McLaren seem intent on wandering down the path of self destruction. Rumours of dischord and mind games between the two drivers, plus an impending court case must be doing some damage deep within the team. Focus is the name of the game if they want to be up there challenging for top honours.
Alonso was the pole sitter last year, but still managed to lose the race to the immaculate Schumacher. Lewis Hamilton will be looking to stop the recent media rumblings and improve on his third position at his home Grand Prix. You have to wonder how much this kid has to do to impress - finishing every single GP he's entered on the podium in his debut season can't be THAT shabby a turnout, can it? Or maybe the papers won't be happy until they've destroyed what's looking like the best British sporting prospect to come into the limelight for a long time. Who knows? One thing's for sure, Lewis will still be in the lead of the world championship after this race no matter what happens.
If you're wondering why I'm not including any of the other drivers it's because I just can't see where the challenge is coming from. Two drivers I thought should have been doing good things this season - Kovalainen and Kubica - just aren't, although the former does seem to be picking up a few points quietly here and there. Coulthard will be as determined as ever and I can see him making up the minor places. As for Jenson - Jenson who?
