The expected win for Kimi - who is starting to live up to all the pre-season hype. He is back to being my favourite to winning this year's championship - expect Ferrari to start favouring him above the lesser Massa. Lewis lacking in pace today - he's a faster driver than Alonso, so there must a reason he was half a minute behind him on the road. But still with nine out of nine podium finishes - he's halfway there to equalling Schumacher's 2002 record in his rookie season All the best Rob

Good race from Raikkonen to pick himself up some much needed points, and Alonso ran him close, but, like Rob, I don’t know why Lewis was so far off the pace. Two suggestions – they’ve taken the stolen components off his McLaren, or Alonso’s put something in his fuel mix. Highlight for me personally was seeing Massa coming through the field from the back, but as usual not much racing on the track.

Schumi, Massa was good from the back, although the fact Ferrari couldn't explain why the car stalled suggests it was another of the silly errors that Massa makes from time to time. IMO Raikkonen (are you impressed that I've learnt how to spell his name ) is starting to show that he is the better of the two Ferrari drivers - a motivated Raikkonen is just a bit too much for Massa. I also suspect something foul regarding Lewis's lack of pace today - apparently there's an investigation underway regarding the Spanish Sombrero found in Lewis's sidepod All the best Rob

Fernando was faster all through the weekend until the final qualifying, where Hamilton selected a lighter fuel load to get to the front. Fernando's pit strategy gave him the edge, and according to Ron Dennis they knew as soon as the first stops were done that Hamilton could do no better than third so asked him to ease off. Fernando got to race until the second stop and then eased off. Is any further explanation required?

It's very hard to say who is the fastest out of the top four, but Lewis does push himself to the limit all the time, and I'm not sure I could confidently say that about the other three.
What does surprise me is that it looks like he may have lost this on strategy; unusual that a British team wouldn't get behind it's Brit driver at the British GP and make the maximum effort to make it work for him; could it be that they're trying to take the heat off Lewis a little?
Whatever happened or didn't, the important thing is that Lewis is still Mr Consistant, that's what will get you more championships than anything else.

Well I went to Silverstone this year and it was obvius while watching qualy and from the interviews afterwards that Lewis was lighter on fuel.
All throughout the weekend Alonso was faster while also driving well within himself. Raikkonen it seems has come to terms with his package and I think he will continue pulverise Massa for the remainder of the season.
I expect it to be a 3 way fight for the title now (lewis staying in the hunt because of the lead he has) but expect Raikkonen to take the title.

I suspect you could be right . Especially if that wee French weasel Jean Todt ( god i hate the sight of that little git ) and Ferarri manage to get some of McLarens points docked .
