No problem Schumi; hope I didn't steal your thunder, it's just that I noticed you weren't logged on and I was bored at work!
Incidentaly, I notice that possibly the worst film ever made about motor racing is on tomorrow night; for anyone who hasn't seen 'Driven', get the popcorn out and tune in to C5 at 8pm, oh, and it's a three tissue job this one.....................for wiping away the tears of laughter!!!

Not at all, I've been out all day so I was glad you did. And what's even more amazing than a Brit being on pole at the British GP for the first time in 11 years, is that I managed to get home and find out the result myself, without it being announced or someone telling me!

That's Broadstairs for you, they're probably still trying to figure out what happened to Stirling Moss. ;D

It's function of my job that the only thing I take in from ads is who did the voiceover (Hugh Dennis on this one I think), but I will pay more attention the next time I see it.
Odd that they should film it there when, a few years ago, the big wind farm was being talked about as being off the Whitstable coast.

Surely 'Silver Dream Racer' must be a strong candidate for that? I don't think I have actually seen that one...but no matter how bad it is, it surely couldn't be worse than "Driven"...could it???

And one of the worst songs ever must surely be Lewis Hamilton's theme song - he's certainly got a "silver dream machine". Or has everyone forgotten one of young Essex's worst hits. And, when you think about David Essex's hits, that's saying something.

Nah, that has a few advantages: 1/ it was made for about a fiver, so you can forgive the dodgy back projection sequences and slightly thin (or anorexic) plot line. 2/ it did at least have some memorable lines in the script. 3/ it featured an unhappy ending, something no other motor sport film I can think of has, and should be rated right at the top of tree just for that.

As a bike racing person, you'd probably love it, as I do, although it probably depends on how old you are.

Just seen the replays of the press conference on the news. Alonso really is coming across as a poor loser. What's the matter with him?

Just seen the replays of the press conference on the news. Alonso really is coming across as a poor loser. What's the matter with him? Schumi, Because he is a bad loser. It's why he's won the world championship the last two years, he doesn't like losing. Like Prost did to get away from Senna, expect Alonso to jump ship to avoid having to race in the same car as his more talented team-mate. The only way Alonso can beat Lewis is if they are in seperate cars. Not sure where Alonso is going to go though - maybe to the Red Bastards, although there won't be a vacancy there if Kimi maintains his French revival. All the best Rob
