Just found this in the EADT:
Heart by-pass op for ex-Witches hero 11 March 2008 | 12:30 ELVIN KING FELIXSTOWE-based former world number three speedway rider Olle Nygren is in Papworth Hospital, Cambridgeshire waiting to have a heart by-pass operation.
The 78-year-old, who was rushed to Ipswich Hospital last week, is still planning to run speedway training schools in Sweden this year.
Two years ago Nygren completed a 11,000 mile seven-week motorcycle trek across Asia and Europe.
Business associate Keith Hammett said: “Olle is looking upon this as a slight hic-cup.”

Get well soon Varg Olle. One of the sports icons. The regular readers of the Ove Fundin newsletter on this WWOS forum, the last one posted on the 29th of February, would have known that already of course. Those that might be interested in some photo's taken by Ove himself including some of Olle, of their Trans Asia trip on motorcycles will find them here: www.jbsportsimages.co.uk/fundin/gallery2.htm

I went to a bike rally near a pub in either Little Bentley or Great Bentley in Essex last August, and I saw a bloke there who I could have sworn was Olle.
Mounted on a BMW enduro bike he was, and not a million miles away from his home in Felixstowe either.

Any news on how the surgery went? I spoke to him this morning and he seems to be recovering well from the quadruple by pass surgery on the 13th of March. He starts his sliding school again in Sweden during May. He seemed very cheerful and is getting out and about.
