The problem is, all too often on there it turns into a bit of a mob culture. Someone picks on someone else - usually on the flimsiest of justification, and everyone else promptly stands around saying "Ooh!" and thinking that the comments are well out of line, but nobody has the nerve to tell the original perpetrator that he's out of order and should apologise, because they're afraid of falling out of favour with the rest of the gang and finding themselves the next victim. It's like classroom bullying.

Oi you! Don't guage the whole of my wonderful nation on the basis of one silly twat! Most of us Welsh are decent enough - we wash daily, stand our share of rounds, sing (most of us badly I admit!), dug out all that coal for you in the past and if you read the BSF you'll see that, being Welsh, I've done the decent thing and apologised in advance for the Boyos winning at Twickers in a few weeks time!

My problem with the BSF has always been the double standards employed thereon.

A while ago, having spent some time inwardly digesting how nostalgic most people seem to be and how total strangers are quite happy to wish a happy birthday to people they've never met, I started a thread to celebrate the 60th birthday of Malcolm Simmons, someone who I thought deserved a bit of a mention, since he was a reasonably important person during one of the heydays of UK speedway, and a member of the BSF.

When I had a bit of whinge because hardly anybody had contributed, I got roundly turned on by all the BSF regulars, most of whom are quite happy to send their good wishes to any BSF regular that has had a letterbox successfully installed.

The BSF, either from it's members or it's moderators, suffers from a lack of sensible prioritising.

Well, I never thought I'd see the day Bryn.........but good on yer for jumping off the fence and highlighting that prick. That 'someone' seems happy to go onto a public forum and pronounce Peter Oakes a 'prick', which really does him no favours at all!!

Sorry if it offends (Wacks and Witch), but some people on the BSF really deserve all they get..........after all, they're not slow in dishing it out, so they should expect things coming back to bite them!!!

If they are dishing it out then fair enough Kev, but if they are just a bit, errr how can I put it, pointless and really do nobody any harm then a lot of what they get is undeserved and out of order.

My point related to the Natalie Ann thread in General Discussions. I don't know the young girl who started the thread, but do know she's been around on the forum for a number of years from her early teens, and has been a pain in the arse with some pointless posts over these years, but they have all been harmless and I've never seen any malice from her. Yet the shit she's had aimed at her and her new born baby over the past couple of days has been quite frankly disgusting, although it seems quite a lot of the posts on there yesterday have now been removed.

I really can't comment on the Natalie Ann thread Wacks, as I've not seen it, but I do get the gist of what you're saying, and I agree, if their posts are 'harmless' then any retorts are quite possibly out of order.

I can assure you the two individuals to whom I'm refering are well known for their offensive and derisive posts though, and the sooner they are driven off that forum the better for everyone.

It beggars belief that 'someone' can get banned on the BSF for calling someone a pillock, but 'someone else' who claimed another member is 'a whore and stinks of shit' is seemingly still at liberty to post!!!!

You really are a sad sad obsessive.
You know I do not support Pinstipe and if you had taken the time to read the thread, you would know that I posted to that effect but unfortunately it was removed by the mods.
This 'someone' did NOT refer to Peter Oakes as a prick, a fact that midnightlady had to the grace to point out in a following post.
You really need to seek help with your obsession. There are a lot of people on here, and the BSF, who know me well and would disagree totally with the picture you try to paint of me.

The biggest problem with the BSF like most forums is lack of a constructive conversation

The majority of the posts are

Mind Numbingly boring .... posters like spin king and Matty Hart posting quite simply

I agree or aww yes that's true

or

lets face it baw bags who seem to think they only want to cause trouble , offending some one or a personal attack isn't what the majority of a forum want to read.

or

Quite simply put lies and falsification of the truth.


A simple opinion and view on the sport is all that is needed , take posters like

King Jamie,Paulco,Tsunami and a few others who quite simply just post an opinion, others can take it or leave it as they please seems the majoirty cant take it spit the dummy out and then the whole thing trancedns into a joke.

I've just read the last 5-6 pages of the Natalie Ann thread on the BSF, and I cannot believe the shit that poor girl got. It was supposed to be a happy event.

So what if she's a teenage unmarried mother. She's not alone.
Good luck to her I say.

If I was her partner/boyfriend I would want to hunt them down and ask them to explain their comments, straight to me, face to face.

Not the cowardly way behind a nom de plume and a keyboard.
