fight my case in person?? .... again?? nah.. I'll only end up with a one-line-reply: "Henning, your average in PL will be 7.00 (it is now) and in EL will be 4.00 (dunno if that's still the case now though)" Have you considered going elite? well, if I can't even get a PL place, how am I supposed to get a spot in EL... I also think I'm lacking too much experience to go elite, I'm honest with that, but who knows, hey if someone offered me a place in EL i wouldn't hesitate

Have you considered going elite? That was my first thought, you might make a bit of a mug of yourself for a season (on the other hand, you might not) but it would give you a proper average. To quote the BSF: "in a watered down elite league, etc, etc." Could be a thought? Edit: Aim high.

tbh, I'd rather go PL .. more meetings as well... as the EL is full of riders that ride abroad, what I haven't planned...

I have no idea what it's like to be a rider punting yourself around the speedway leagues, but it does seem as though you're in a good position to put yourself up to EL teams; you have another job you can fall back on if it all goes Pete Tong, and you can offer to ride for expences just to get yourself a proper average for 2009, surely it's worth a shot?

don't think I can do that unless I find a sponsor where I can also work for when I'm not racing... i worked with ben powell last season, and there is no room for another job cause hardly have any time during the season... it's not just the racing itself, it's driving to the meetings and of course those many hours in the workshop what most supporters don't seem to realize....

I am not getting at Henniing/herman here but when the rules were widely know why on earth did you agree to ride in the Danish League albeit only two matches? why on earth shouldn't i agree to ride in the danish league?? as an 18-year-old who wants to improve all the time u take every chance... and back in 2002 (!) I wasn't aware of that it was going to affect my average 3 (!) years later... anyways, I'm not crying out for a reduction of my average, I want a team place... however, I know for a fact that at least 2 clubs would sign me if my average was lower. in denmark you have to ride in at least 3 meetings to get an official average over there... I rode two and for your info, I started on a 3.00 average in denmark as far as I know, and if they hadn't changed the rules over there I'd still come in on 3.00 as I haven't ridden enough meetings AND haven't ridden there for 5 years (the Danish Super League that is)... I do think my PL average is assessed a bit unfair, but as I said, there's nothing I can do about it (tried it before), I accept my average and all I want is to race in British League... PS: please... for everyone on here or the bsf... no need for having a personal go at me... I just want to enjoy my speedway....!

Herman, I'm sure Midnight Lady wasn't having a go at you........it's really not her style mate (unless it's Paulco at the receiving end, but that's fair play!! ), I'm sure it was a genuine question which you've answered well. I'm sure I can speak for everyone on here, when I say I hope it all works out OK for you very soon!!

That's right kev.And you don't want to take too much notice of a few people on the BSF herman. There are so many members and someone(usually the same ones) is going to have a go at you for no other reason than you have the guts to get off your arse and try

So, these meetings were way back in 2002? Aren't averages open for re-assessment after so many years? Aren't Ipswich, or their supporters at least, sweating on the re-assessment of Jaroslaw Hampel after he missed four seasons in the UK? If young Loof here hasn't ridden in any further official league meetings, then I'd say that his average should be re-assessed.

The guy is really keen to have a go! BSPA get yer f'in digits out your backside and let this guy have a go! I met Henning at the PL 4's in 2005 and he seemed a really decent bloke(he was helping a legend)

Aye, thats the one. Wilko and yourself joined us for a couple of pints after the qualifying heats. Anyway, welcome aboard the WWOS. Hopefully you will get your average re-assessed and end up in the black and gold body colours.
