What's going on, Genghis? Can you either argue with me or point out where I'm going wrong? This silence is somewhat unsettling - makes me think you actually agree with me.

Schumi - clearly what it means is that any rider who is riding full-time in the GP series, or has rode full-time in the last 2 years, is assessed at 8.00. However, it's written in bad English, like most of the rulebook, to enable promoters to find loopholes to the rules.

I could understand if words had been left out - I occasionally do that myself - but to put in a word, it must be there for a reason. Or are you going by the Max Mosely rule book and reading what you like?

It seems that a few of the Robins followers on the BSF are getting a bit excited about Easties recent signings. I can understand why & to a large extent sympathise, when what would be the no brainer signing of Adams, in reality seems to be a bit of a liability. However good sides in the past have had to be decimated due to the machinations of the BSPA perhaps when Swindon have a few more years in the 'Elite' it may become easier for them to take. fog p.s. at least they can team build and think of 2008 & beyond

Actually I am getting bloody fed up with all the whingeing from Swindon, Coventry and Poole fans......moaning on and on about having their teams decimated at the expense of blah blah blah. Is this the first year it's ever happened NO, will it happen again YES... FFS get over it. . And it seems to me that most teams are putting together some tasty line ups, so all this posturing about "premier plus" and watered down product and "not so elite" league, is crap. rant over.

Agreed, Badge. The teams who have opted out of the top few riders in the world (based on GP performances) seem to be fielding some pretty good line-ups, considering. See, they are hoping that the likes of Adams, Andersen and Crump will automatically guarantee them 15 points, but I don't think that's the case, and then the lack of strength down the bottom end will play a part too.
Loving the look of Lakeside, Ipswich, Poole and Eastbourne, and Coventry should be able to field a decent side regardless. Those who waited for the points limit to be set before announcing their top rider should be in a pretty good position next year. Do feel sorry for the likes of Swindon and Belle Vue though.

It will be good to see Ipswich turning in some good performances and maybe making the play-offs. But Jareks average is crazy. You can't have riders of that quality having that sort of average.Same as if Holta or Jagus came in on a 5 point average. But that is the same all over with assesed averages. In Denmark i can't see how they can stick Smolinski in the same grade as Nicki Pedersen or Hans Andersen

Don't feel sorry for Swindon. We have the best league rider in the world at number one and I wouldn't have it any other way. Much better option than going with, say, Lee and Charlie - much as I like Rico in particular. I think we could surprise a few next year. The lack of a strong second heatleader may make us vulnerable from time to time, but as long as Leigh can win heat 15 then that's it pretty much covered. I think the points limit was far too low - that's the difference this year. The points limit is supposed to allow the riders to be distributed about. This year it's put half the Swindon team out of the league, which does seem rather ridiculous. I am surprised that some people can't see how different it is this year to other year to be honest, but I guess everyone sees things from the perspective of their own side so every one is as bad as each other. I'm looking forward to seeing Swindon's team next year. May not be up the top, but we'll be pretty damn entertaining to watch.

TBF Badge, not all of us are whinging about our team being decimated. It was going to be ripped to shreds anyway given that we finished 2nd in all major competitions. I think most of us are just mightily pissed of that the BSPA shot themselves in the foot over the stupidly low average. What numpties - fancy setting an average so low that the current World Champion cannot grace (if that's the correct word ) our sport regularly in the UK this year. Doh! I for one am glad that the Richardson Twins managed to find themselves a team place (or is that places?). Just need the Cheesemeister to find somewhere now, but he's got a bloody awkward average to fit in. What's the betting he'll go back to Wolves? I can't say I'm not dead jealous of the team Eastbourne have managed to put together, but I'd rather have Mr Clean anyday over Scott Whiny Nicholls.
