Lee Richardson to Eastbourne! Damn, I'd just used him as an example in an interview and now it makes the question out of date. Still, good to see he hasn't been forced out by the points limit, though I'd much rather it hadn't been at Nicki's expense.

It seems as if Hampel is on his old 6.27 average for Ippo according to the Ipswich trackman on their forum

What a fix. He should come in on 8.00. Look out, here come the teddies!! Kev - I'm neutral in this, I just want to see fair play and no way should Hampel be allowed in on 6.27 - the rules clearly state he does not have a current average and therefore he should come back on 8.00. I expect to see the teddies next March/April, when Ipswich travel to Lakeside and turn you lot over, with Hampel top socring for the Witches.

I'm not so sure. I read the rule as if he was out for more than three years and was a current GP rider it would be 8.00. Although he should have been assessed:
17.3.1 Assessed CMA's in accordance with SR 17.3.2, will be given to Riders: g) been absent from British League racing for more than 3 seasons.
But clearly he's back on his old average. Good for Ipswich, bad for consistency to the rules.

Oh give us a break genghis, they shafted us over Pepe Prot and then last year over JBJ. JL goes out of his way to accomodate visiting teams like Reading last year, and I seem to remember your team Oxford being allowed a higher averaged rider "for the good of speedway" season before last .

"Note 1 Including Riders that have not qualified or been selected, excluding nomination as a Wild Card for the FIM GP Series during this and the previous 2 seasons." Eh? That says "including riders who have NOT qualified or been selected..." Hampel HAS been selected.
