Okay, research time. Does anyone know who the official promoting companies are for each of the BEL teams?

Peterborough is 'Peterborough Speedway Showcase Limited' and it seems no accounts have ever been filed for that (they're several months overdue now)

Coventry would seem to be 'Coventry Racing Limited' - no accounts filed yet, so presumably a 'new' company.

Poole is 'Poole Speedway Limited' - accounts available for 2005 season.

Reading - was BSI Reading, but no accounts filed yet. Don't know who the new promoting company is.

Belle Vue, Ipswich, Swindon and Wolves - don't know

Lakeside & Eastbourne - don't know, but presumably new companies that won't have filed yet.

If Lakeside and Eastbourne are new companies, wouldn't Belle Vue be? As for Swindon, Ipswich and Wolverhampton, I'd assume the company name would be in any programme from recent seasons.

I'm a little curious as to the reasons why this should be of any interest to anyone? The problem is if you start posting about accounts being overdue etc you can stir up no end of discontent and worry among fans who have absolutely no need to be concerned.

It was in response to the postings of certain individuals who claimed that the majority of BEL teams must be making a profit.

They're all adults, and there's no point sticking one's head in the sand.

BTW - does anyone believe that Peterborough is as financially secure as the promoter-who-must-not-named claims?
