I saw him named as referee for the meeting, I contemplated walking out right there and I should've done. As it was, I lasted until the result was announced for Ht 4 of tonight's Newcastle versus Workington meeting and then I walked. Graham Flint is a fucking golem and should never be allowed to referee another meeting as long as he lives and breathes. There was only one man in the whole stadium who believed Jonas Raun won Ht 4 and that was Graham fucking Flint. People go on about Marek Wojacczek refereeing, but let me tell you, compared to the golem Flint, he's a refereeing titan.

Well, thank you for that post young acheffenbacher, which was most interesting, although I have to say the level of obscentities contained did approach gratuitous. But we'll let it go.

Sub,
So that people understand why you dislike Flint, why not explain the events at Belle Vue last year, when Oxford visited.
I loved Aaron Lanney's comments on this match - such as "I did ask the ref if he would consider slowing things down to a blur" ;D
All the best Rob

Basically, it seems, allegedly, that with rain threatening, the Belle Vue promoter Ian Thomas, requested that the referee speed the meeting up. However, Ian Thomas, with the same rain clouds threatening, went through with a full parade, including that of a new promotional van. This resulted in the two minutes being put on for races just as the winner passed the chequered flag for the previous race. In the end, Stanislaw Burza, taking two rides in quick succession, was excluded on the two minutes. Now, what did this result in? Yes, another two minutes with Burza already desperately making his way to the tapes. Lubos Tomicek, Burza's replacement, barely beat the second two minutes. Then Skonicki was excluded after one of the Belle Vue riders took a tumble. Don't know what happened after that, I'd walked out in disgust.
