What a shocking start to the 2007 GP series Swedish sensation Antonio Lindback's had. In fact, it's not been a good year for Lindback all round, what with on-going strife at his Polish employers Czestochowa. He seems to be finding the going tough away from the indulgence afforded him at Poole in the UK. No Middlo to hug him and kiss his ego better after it's taken a battering, just an irate Polish coach demanding points. I really think Lindback is at the crossroads of his career and unless he makes the right choices he'll end up a washed up "never will be". He's got to get out of the GPs and get out of them soon. If I were his adviser, I'd be strenuously suggesting he resign from the 2007 series.

And the only two riders he beat were Eric Andersson, who was never going to be able to mix it with the big guns, let's face it, Jason Crump who fell off, and Scott Nicholls who has no excuse - so what does that say about him?

If you look at the current standings in the circus, you find the following:
13..B Pedersen 14..S Nicholls 15..F Lindgren 16..A Lindback
BP, Nicholls and Lindback, the three of the BSI nominations from last year holding the bottom three positions in the permanent fifteen.

He only had two rides for Czestochowa today and managed a score of 1. Could there be trouble on the horizon?

He only had two rides for Czestochowa today and managed a score of 1. Could there be trouble on the horizon? The bizarre thing, as evidenced by his recent flirtation with Oxford, is that Lindback still believes he's in a position to dictate terms. He isn't. But, for him, that's actually not such a bad thing. He should be learning from this Polish experience. The Poles won't give him four rides in the hope that one of them's good. He gets one or two chances per meeting. And if he isn't scoring, that's it. Welcome to the real world Mr Lindback.
