Last 3 Meetings at STMP:
PT: Redcar 46-44 Glasgow (2006)
PL: Redcar 59-36 Glasgow (2006)
PT: Redcar 53-38 Glasgow (2007)
This should be an entertaining match and I think in the end it will come down to how well Matty and Chris do compared to Leverington and Ksiezak. Trent never exactly endeared himself to the STMP crowd last season when with Stoke during a controversial heat involving Kevin Little and himself. Shane Parker should get another warm welcome from the crowd because of his past involvements with Speedway on Teeside and he should do better than his last two scores at STMP. Michael Coles has only ever ridden at the STMP once before and that was with Berwick during the PT match earlier this season, and he never really impressed in that meeting although he did come up against young Josh Auty. They had a coming together at Berwick in the return match and it will be interesting to see what reception he will get on the parade. Dicken has never looked very convincing at the STMP but McCallen and Ksiesak should score a few points each.
For the Bears hopefully Jimmy will not have had any effects after riding through the pain barrier Vs Workington and will hopefully score as well as he has been this season. The Bears fans will hope Havvy continues where he left off aswell as Hargreaves, who seemed to have more speed in the last home match. Chris seems to be finishing strong, as was the case last season and expect Matty to be his usual entertaining self. Josh should also score well again, if he over comes the last position which he seems to get every week.
Prediction 52-38 to the Bears.
