Another massive points haul for Newport's new Polish sensation Michal Rajkowski against the Comets today. He seems to have been a real breath of fresh air at what has been a down-at-heels club for the past couple of seasons.

Another interesting spelling for Rajek's Surname - have you been taking lessons from SCB? he's had almost as many different versions as young Arlo Bugeja/Bugeja/Bejuga/Bageju the Italian from Adelaide! Hopefully he'll find his way round (B)rough Park quickly enough - that's if its stopped precipitating yet?

The meeting of the top(?) 2 new PL talents. How will Michal fair against the infinitely easier to spell Jonas Raun? Both have helped their clubs have better seasons than a lot of the fans were expecting

Anyway, my apologies to young Rajkowski - I've amended the offending item.

Anyway, my apologies to young Rajkowksi - I've amended the offending item. Err you did it again. Unless that was a subtle joke, and if so more fool me.

Jesus, noticed Rajkowski scored 19 of Newport's 43 points at Stoke last night. I still think it's more luck than manipulation that's seen Newport manage to get him at reserve, but I suggest that, once again, the rules regarding GSAs will be changed for next season. Meanwhile, Newport are reaping the benefits of this season's ill-conceived changes. Fair play to them.

has the lad,got any links with an elite club? I believe he guested for Lakeside at Swindon a couple of weeks ago. But, aside from that, I believe he's a Newport asset with no links to an Elite League club. He's one of an increasing number of riders in the MSJ stable. MSJ seem to be forging a role for themselves as facilitators of deals between riders squeezed out in Poland and clubs in the UK. They also handle Stanislaw Burza, Jacek Rempala and Marcin Rempala: www.msjspeedway.com/msj/

And i situation i predicted would happen as the team places in Poland are taken up by the influx of foreigners. But if British teams can take advantage of this all the better. These are riders who by and large are not too important to their polish clubs,so shouldn't suffer from the pressure to miss meetings that the better riders do.If they can help unfashionable teams or teams that traditionally have trouble attracting riders then that is great.I would guess it makes Newport a bit more of an attraction on their away trips as fans want to see this new sensation. It can also help riders get "noticed" by their parent club.Seems to have happened to a rider who i had never heard of before he started doing some meetings here in Germany.Marcin Nowaczyk. He has been putting in some great performances and i see today is in the Poznan team to face Michals parent club,Gorzow

I think Marcin Nowaczyk was with Zielona Gora last season. Certainly he's ridden for Zielona Gora in the past. Piotr Swist is another example, albeit with a more fashionable club in the UK. Not required by a team in Poland (signed a Warsaw contract with Bydgoszcz to maintain his licence) and then got picked up by Poole. And picked up with a point to prove. I'd say he's proving it. I agree with you Doug. These Poles come across and, generally speaking, they have decent machinery and professionalism.
