BERWICK boss Gary Flint is excited by the combination of young guns in their side next season.
Bandits have swooped to sign Cumbrian youngster Kyle Bickley (pictured) and he will partner fellow British teenager Leon Flint at reserve.
Their team is complete with Aaron Summers stepping up as skipper and he’s joined by Coty Garcia, Jye Etheridge, Dany Gappmaier, Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen along with the Bickley and Flint.
Gary Flint said: “The signing of Kyle really excites all of us and the partnership of Leon and Kyle at reserve really does give the side a feeling of progression.
“Aaron will step up as team captain and if truth be told he has been a great captain at most of his previous clubs and he did a great job of backing Kevin Doolan up over the last couple of seasons.”
Meanwhile speaking from Australia, Bickley said: “I’m really pleased to be set up at Berwick in the Championship.
“I had a few different offers at the end of the season but to be fair to Glasgow I turned them down as I thought I was in their team plans for next season.
“Speedway never stands still so when I was informed I wasn’t in the team plans I was looking for a new team and I couldn’t have dreamt of a better team than Berwick.”
