SWINDON will have Troy Batchelor back for the defence of their league and cup double.
The classy Australian had been the subject of speculation about his immediate future with the Abbey Stadium side, but agreed terms on a new deal with the Premiership champions this week.
Boss Alun Rossiter said: “This is great news just 24-hours after we confirmed the return of Doyley (Jason Doyle).
“I know a lot of people were thinking there wouldn’t be any room for Batch and they thought he would have to move on, but he does provide us with a lot of strength at the top end of the team.
“He did a solid job for us in winning the double and deserves the opportunity to be back with us. We’ve made a great start to team-building and I’m very happy so far.”www.speedwaygb.co.uk/news.php?extend.37728
