Well after despatching the Monarchs with the minimum of fuss last weekend . The Mighty Tigers look forward to our traditional bank holiday double header against the " bonny lads " of Byker this Sunday and Monday . Sunday's home match should be a bit of a stroll in the park as the Geordies are a bit of a sorry lot on their travels ( Armadale excepted off course ) . Monday , however , is another winable away fixture for the Messiah and his merry men , as we have already won there this season 47-43 in the PT . So if we can obtain another 5 points this weekend it would latch us onto the coat-tails of the sides vying for a top 4 finish . So C'MON THE STRIPES ;D .

Newcastle 50 Wilkinson 14, Franc 13 , Henry 9 , Clews 6 , Stoddart 6 , Raun 2 , Dore 0 Glasgow 44 Parker 13 , Dicken 9 , Watson 8 , Leverington 6 , Ksiezak 5 , McAllan 2 , Coles 1
Will do a fuller post-mortam when i get back from work , and i've only had 3 hours sleep . But just to say Rough Park lived up to it's name last night - track was atrocious . Ht 1 and Glasgow on an easy 5-1 when Wato comes to grief in the rutted stuff on the 1st bend . When then had to wait 20 mins as riders from both teams demanded the track be graded . Got to be the most badly prepared track in the league as it's not the first time i've seen it resembling a ploughed field .

It obviously didn't suit Jonas Raun. A while since I've heard anything about Raun, so I'd assume things aren't going so great. The last time I saw him at the stadium formerly known as Brough Park he was going reasonably well.
