This Sunday 15-7-07 Scotland's number one speedway team should play host to Uncle Len and his Rockets . This will be the third part of a northern tour for the Rockets following their visits to the " stad de midden " and Berwick . A win at Armadump could be on the cards as Theo " boo me and you're getting it " Pijper has a more important long-track meeting so the Moanarchs will use r/r ( although why they are allowed to use that facility is lost on me ) Berwick will be more of a test as the Rockets are usually minging on the larger tracks . So if they haven't become too home-sick and buggered off down south by the time Sunday comes the two teams should lineup as such - The peoples champions - 1 Craig Watson 2 David McAllan 3 The Messiah 4 Robert Ksiezak 5 Trent Leverington 6 Michael Coles 7 Lee Dicken The opposition if they turn-up this season 1 Chris Neath 2 Robbie Kessler 3 Tai Woffinden 4 Tommy Allen 5 Steve Boxall 6 Luke Bowen 7 Adam Roynan A wee annoying postscript to this match . I've just been E-mailed to say not to contribute to this weeks programme as it is the rained-off Birmingham prog from a fortnight ago with an 8 page insert . What a pile of crap - i am the first to jump on other tracks about this practice so i'm afraid i cant condone my own team doing this . By all means keep the original Birmingham prog and use an insert for when Birmingham are back up , but WTF would Rye House fans want with a Glasgow v Birmingham programme .

It looks like honourary heathendom awaits jacques in the heart of Barbaria. But paulco's point about the facility for Theo Pijper are valid. Why are Edinburgh getting a facility to cover his absence? After all, they must've known this meeting was in Pijper's schedule when they signed him. Now, last season Berwick got hammered by the BSPA when Burza missed a meeting at Glasgow - Burza was banned for a home meeting that the Bandits lost against the Isle of Wight. Oh, but isn't JDC on the management committee of the BSPA? And people wonder why the sport's credibility is shattered. The facility should be withdrawn and if Pijper misses the meeting, he should be banned from a subsequent meeting, just as Burza was. Anything else would be shocking double standards.

Yup Berwick had to use John Branney at number one in place of Burza at Ashfield last year . Likewise Redcar had to use Rusty Hodgson in place of Tressarieu when he was away riding in France instead of the Bears . So the difference with Pijper this time is ? .......... answers on a postcard to " We make it up as we go along department " BSPA Headquarters .

Aye, your right Sub but if the face fits? And your promoter's a member of the BSPA management committee of course. Genghis forbid that the flapperjack George English ever gets on that.

It appears Glasgow have granted Michael Coles a contract extension till the end of the season . Is there really that much of a dearth of talent in the CL coming through .
