Keith Harvey, born Verulam, South Africa, 1896 was the last rider from the 19th century to be active in 1947 when he appeared in some of the opening meetings of the season for New Cross. His London tracks included Stamford Bridge, West Ham, Wimbledon, Crystal Palace and New Cross. The only other 19th century rider active post-war was West Ham's Colin Watson who retired after being seriously injured at Bradford in June 1946.Attachments:
