From the SGB website: :::: MILDENHALL have handed 18-year-old Luke Ruddick a return to their line-up for the 2017 season.
Berwick-based Ruddick lost his place with the Fen Tigers midway through this year’s campaign after struggling to overcome an early injury, but is now back at West Row with a new set-up behind him.
Promoter Kevin Jolly said: “There is no doubting Luke has the potential to progress in the sport, he is a likable lad who gives everything and is so determined to succeed. Sadly last year that determination saw him trying too hard at times which resulted in a nasty early season injury.
“We tried a different set-up for him where his bikes were looked after in Suffolk but in hindsight that didn’t work perfectly as he had no opportunity to practise around the Northern tracks when back home between meetings.
“We are setting him up differently this coming season, with Connor Coles moving on Darren Grimwood will be looking after Luke in the pits and he has already had some constructive conversations with Robert (Henry), added to that he has passed his driving test and will be coming down with his father on some occasions and his bikes will be with him. We feel this will all help him relax, enjoy his speedway and progress at a manageable pace.”Attachments:

FROM THE SGB WEBSITE: :::::: MILDENHALL are one rider away from completing their 2017 team with the signing of Danno Verge.
The Fen Tigers have snapped up 20-year-old Verge after he spent the last two seasons with Kent, and now have up to 3.28 points remaining for their final team member.
Promoter Kevin Jolly said: “We are not alone in finding riders between those difficult 4 and 5 point averages hard to come by, so once I heard Danno was available I moved quickly.
“He made a decent step forward last season and rode well on both visits to Mildenhall, he is a rider that is improving season on season and I see no reason why he cannot continue his upward curve with us in 2017.
“He will be moving out of reserve berths into the main body but I am confident this won’t faze him and he will deliver the goods.”

From the SGB website: :::: MILDENHALL have completed their line-up for the coming season with a move to bring in Sam Woods.
The 23-year-old was part of Rye House’s National League squad last year but did ride for the Fen Tiger Cubs earlier in his career.
Mildenhall co-promoter James Easter said: “Sam is a rider who has been on my mind for some while now. I always felt it was a wise move to hold fire on the final signing and see what happened once Christmas was over and so it has proved with Sam’s sudden availability fitting in perfectly with our plans and club ethos.
“He is a gritty rider who always gives you his all and is a good team man. He impressed me with his spirit when he rode as a guest for us last season and there is no reason why he cannot kick on this coming season with the support and backing of our team.”

From the SGB website: ::::::: MILDENHALL have announced an opening date of Sunday April 9 when they will stage the Fen Fours for the second time.
Jon Armstrong and Josh Bates took the title in 2016, and the club are working to put together a line-up including past team members along with their current side – before they go into a two-legged Easter clash with Kent.
Promoter Kevin Jolly said: “I am very happy with our start to the season. It gives our riders three meetings to get tuned into the season before the serious business starts.
“That said, we will be all out to win the Easter Chase and get one over our rivals from Kent. I am not entertaining the possibility of a home defeat this season and want us to get off to the best possible start
“The Fen Fours was a wonderful way to start last season and I am sure it will be again this time. We will try for the best field possible and I have plenty of names already noted down, and over the coming weeks we will start to announce some of the riders as they are confirmed.”
