BEARS NAME THEIR TEAM
SUNDAY DECEMBER 04, 2016
JASON Garrity and Ben Barker are to spearhead a much-changed Redcar team under new promotion in the SGB Championship next season.
The Bears are now under the control of former junior rider Kevin Keay, who has been a regular behind the scenes at the Media Prime Arena in recent years, with Jonas B Andersen and Tobias Busch the only riders returning from this year.
The team is completed by Charles Wright, a Premier League title winner with Somerset this year, whilst Richard Hall returns to the club at reserve alongside Ellis Perks.
Manager Jitendra Duffill said: “I'm very pleased with the line-up we have put together for 2017. Every one of them has been great to deal with and all of them wanted to ride for Redcar, which is very important to me.
“I wanted to build a side that our supporters would want to watch every week and riders that would give me 100 per cent every single meeting. It was also important to build a team that was strong at home and I believe that I have done that.”

From the SGB website: ::::: REDCAR have secured an extension to their team sponsorship deal, and will again be backed by S.G.Petch (Middlesbrough) in conjunction with Hyundai.
The Bears are under the new promotion of Kevin Keay this season but recent negotiations have resulted in the return of their title sponsors.
Keay said: “We are delighted to have the backing of such a major company as S.G.Petch and we would like to thank Ian Noble and Shaun Burke for being willing to come back on board in what promises to be an exciting season at the Media Prima Arena.
“Ian and Shaun liked the new positivity surrounding the Bears and to have their support shows things are definitely moving in the right direction both on and off the track.
“We look forward to a closer working relationship with the company which we hope will not only benefit S.G.Petch but the Bears fans as well.”Attachments:
