Romania: I know that pre-war British rider Clem Beckett - early 1930s - is said to have raced in meetings in Romania. The latest update is www.motospeed.ro/ - the only snag you may have to use the translate mode.

There follows an interesting link to motor cycle racing in Romania in the early 1930s, but evidence of speedway/dirt tracks can be traced with references to riders like Fernand Maynier (France) and Leo Killmayer (Austria) in some of them. The top Romanian rider at this time was Nocolae Imoescu-Cristed. Take a look - you won't regret it. There is also evidence that as far back as 1932, Romania's Bukarest Veldrome staged an international speedway/dirt track meeting featuring riders from Greece and Bulgaria. forums.autosport.com/topic/154157-pre-war-motorcycles/
