One country, one vote is clearly ridiculous, and FIA now looks like it will be ripped apart. That's also how Blatter and his corrupt gang of cronies stay in power at FIFA. Even if all the wealth is generated by a handful countries, all you need is backing of the minnows to whom you hand it out. One country, one vote is clearly ridiculous I could be wrong, but I think the FIA is one of the few international sporting organisations where there can be more than one federation/club per country (e.g. Britain has five national clubs listed). However, obviously it doesn't make the voting system any more proportional.

From PlanetF1: FIA President Max Mosley on Thursday won his privacy action against the News of the World.
The newspaper, which had accused the 68-year-old of taking part in a "sick orgy" with five prostitutes, must now pay him a record £60,000 compensation. I'm past caring.

Think it will be a wee bit more than 60 grand when costs are taken into consideration . I'm just away up to dust down the old stormtrooper uniform as we speak .

It's a never-ending saga. From PlanetF1:
Max Mosley has once again launched legal proceedings against the News of the World, this time for libel.
Mosley successfully won his breach of privacy action against the tabloid earlier this week when a London High Court judge ruled that there was no evidence of a Nazi theme to Mosley parties. The judged awarded the 68-year-old £60,000 in damages.
However, the FIA President is now launching libel proceedings after the News of the World editor claimed that Mosley was a liar for denying the tabloid's accusations.
A statement issued by Mosley's solicitors said: "Max Mosley has today issued proceedings against the News of the World for libel.
"Following his successful privacy claim, and the attempts by the editor and staff of the News of the World to devalue the outcome of that claim, Mr. Mosley will now be pursuing a claim for damages and aggravated damages in relation to the defamatory allegations in the April 6 edition of the News of the World."

For fuck's sake, what does Mosley think he is achieving. Every time he drags this through the courts, he's just reminding people of what's got up to. And the News Of The World won't be that fussed - I'm sure they budget for being sued. I just hope Bernie hurries up and hires that hitman.
