So the promoters have made a few changes to the rules for next season. Teams are now allowed more than one rider with averages over 8, but the team total can't exceed 41 points. Tactical rides are now only allowed between Heats 5 and 12.

Changes for the better or the worse ?

Most of the changes appear to be designed to appease the FIM as that body prepares to go "toe-to-toe" with the Poles to protect its pimp's (BSI Speedway) interests. Gone is the "one over eight rule" and gone - apparently - is the reduction in averages for British riders.
