ALUN Rossiter was encouraged by Swindon's showing at Eastbourne on Monday - and now wants to turn the tables at home. The return Craven Shield fixture takes place at Blunsdon on Thursday after the Eagles recorded a 52-41 victory on their own track, Swindon mounting something of a comeback to drag back an 18-point deficit. There is no aggregate bonus point in any of the Elite League competitions this season, but points difference could well play a significant part in the Craven Shield as each team only races four fixtures, and any away win could be vital. Rossiter said: "We started off slowly (at Eastbourne) which was to be expected, because it's a very tricky track. There's a lot of home advantage and they've been practising solidly for the last month or so. "They will be very good later on in the year, and there's not many teams who will run them as close on their own patch as we did. "But Thursday is back on our territory. Scott Nicholls and Lee Richardson will be good around Blunsdon, but the rest of our lads will come into play and Eastbourne won't know what's hit them."
