Old Silencers For Poland

Reports in Poland reveal that the Polish speedway authorities have ruled in favour of riders using the old type of silencer this season.
Since their introduction the new type of quieter silencer has been a topic of debate between the FIM, National Authorities and International riders, World Champion Tomasz Gollob, World number two Jaroslaw Hampel along with Adrian Miedzinski and a host of club promotors visited the Polish speedway authorities today to resolve their issues with the new type of silencer.
sportowefakty.pl reports that this season riders in the Polish leagues will revert back to the old type of silencer and that 'the Polish riders in foreign leagues will also be able to olny use old equipment.'

On 17 March 2011 at a meeting of the Central Committee of Presidents of speedway clubs Extraleague, I and II of the league and players 'representatives and the judges were familiarized with the riders' opinions regarding the new silencers, which use, in their opinion, is dangerous and may pose a threat to health and life.
It was found that upon receipt of the negative response regarding the FIM silencers, which upholds the decision of the FIM, that in 2011 will stand at the World Championships, including the Grand Prix and the World Team Cup, the silencer with approved valid from 01.01.2010.
Polish Motor Union reserves the right to keep the season 2011 on track to benefit from Polish-approved silencers valid until 31.12.2009.
