Former Berwick Bandit and Czech International Adrain Rymel has announced his retirement after failing to fully recover from a crash at Edinburgh. The 35 year old crashed in while riding for Berwick last season against Edinburgh, at the time he sustained injuries to his neck and shoulder. After detailed examinations it turned out the Rymel had suffered damage to his spinal cord and would not return for the Bandits in 2010. Now, Rymel has rehabilitation every weekday to try and recover from the injury and he informed his Czech team Prague that he would now longer be able to race. In an interview with speedwayfakta.cz, he said: "I informed Mr. Moravec (Prague Speedway), that for health reasons I finish my career. It makes no sense to be in the teams and compete in matches. I'll be happy if I get back to full fitness. www.speedway365.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1726:rymel-enters-retirement&catid=301:berwick-bandits&Itemid=420
