10 days to go till i hit Swindon . Leaving Glasgow at 10 a.m. on the Saturday morning which should have us in Swindon about 6 or 7 depending on stops . Saturday evening on the bevvy in Swindon ( anybody know any good pubs ? Preferably with a clientele over 30 ) . A lie-in in the hotel Sunday morning followed by a huge cooked breakfast . Then a stroll down to a local pub for a lunchtime livener , before getting ready to head for the track for it opening at 4 . Any other Wierd worlders heading for the messiah's crowning as PL kingpin . If so i'm quite partial to John Smith's beer if the Blunsdon bar stocks it . ;D

The Old Town is your best Central bet for over 30's. Avoid the bottom of town at all costs!
The GW has an over 30 clientele but is pretty quiet on Saturdays.
Could always Cab it to Rosco's.

Tragedy to overshadow all tragedies . 9/11 , WW 1 and 2 , Tsunami's , monsoons , earthquakes , celtic beating Rangers - nothing comes close to the sad news that the Messiah - yes Shane Parker himself has been so cruelly struck down by injury and can't now ride in Sunday's PLRC . A meeting he only had to turn up for to win . Get well soon Shane .

oh no! what happened? He was leading Heat 3 in last Sunday's meeting at the Messiahdome when James Grieves clipped his back wheel and both of them flew into the fence at top speed . Nothing broken , just badly battered and bruised . Craig Watson takes his place on Sunday .

Lee Complin has been called up to the Premier League Riders' Championship as a replacement for Glenn Cunningham.
Cunningham has been forced to withdraw from Sunday's meeting at Swindon due to personal circumstances, which have been fully approved by both Stoke Speedway and the BSPA.
Complin is the next man in line to represent the Potters, and he is now making the necessary mechanical preparations to appear at the Abbey Stadium.
