And so we get to the sharp end of the season - and also some early morning starts. Quali is tomorrow at 6am, not sure if I can be bothered with that. However I will try to be up the larks for the race, which starts at 7am on Sunday (the BBC coverage starts at 6am, and I'm tempted to try and catch the start of it, since the lovely Lee MacKenzie is guest presenter, since that beanpole Humphrey bloke is doing something in India ). Anyway, what of the drivers? Well apparently Red Bull have quite a speed advantage around this track, but that will only pay off if the Golden Boy doesn't turn into Captain Crash and manages to keep it on the track. Crumpie's Mate seems to be denying he is championship favourite, but he is. The Spanish Flapperjack has won the last two races, but hopefully Ferrari will forget to put on a wheel or something. ;D McLaren need a good result, hopefully Hammy Hamster will avoid crashing into anyone this weekend, or else he'll become known as Captain Crash Mark 2. The Mighty Button is maybe McLaren's best bet at the moment, as unlike Hammy, he doesn't need bumpers on his car. As for the rest of the field, well... who bloody cares.

And heavy rain means that quali and the race will now BOTH take place tomorrow.
Quali was washed out, and has been rescheduled for 10.00am tomorrow (1am our time).
Highly unusual, but not totally without precedent.

According to Mark Blundell on Twitter, Lewis Hamilton has had a gearbox change and will consequently drop five places on the grid tomorrow

Result:
1. The Golden Boy 2. Crumpie's Mate 3. The Spanish Flapperjack 4. The Mighty Button 5. Hammy Hamster 6. Some Old Codger
Red Bull now look hot favourties for the Constructors Championships, whilst the Spanish Flapperjack looks the only realistic opponent for either the Golden Boy or Crumpie's Mate in the Drivers Championship.
Bad day for Hammy, suffering more gearbox problems which are likely to result in another 5-place grid penalty in the next race (South Korea).
