Yes, tonight, instead of that Delete League rubbish, we get to see some decent racing from the Premier League - as those weird speaking bunch from Zummerzet take on the Glasgow Tigers.
I'll be out tonight, but hopefully I can persuade them to put the speedway on at the bowling, if not I'll catch a repeat.

we get to see some decent racing from the Premier League Wrong, we get to see some decent racing from Somerset as always........the fact they are in the PL is irrelevant.......I guess you've forgotten some of the tedium we've been forced to watch from PL Rye House, which, no doubt would be the same if they were in the EL.............this PL is better than EL and vice versa really annoys me

The problem is for, most of the riders in the EL, it's only their third of fourth priority and hence they don't give it their all, in the way that riders do in the PL or CL. The Elite League is shockingly poor entertainment this year. It's probably why we've reached August and I haven't attended a single EL meeting this year. I'd been to England, Scotland & Wales and I've seen PL, CL, individual meetings, BSPA meetings but not one single EL match. I don't consider them to be worth the money - £16 for 15 follow-my-leader races. No thanks.

Have to say I agree with Genghis! Haven't been to a meeting since the Ben Fund Meeting at the beginning of the year. In fact since Smallmead closed I've been to 4 speedway meetings in total, and none of them have been league meetings of any kind. I'll watch the GP's & SWC but the EL served up on Sky on a weekly basis has drained me of enthusiasm for the sport. That said, I'm down in Somerset for a long weekend in a couple of weeks and have now made Mr Wacks promise that we can go to the OTA on the Friday night, which I'm now really looking foward to.

So, did the trip to The Oak Tree Arena live up to expectations Wacks?
