Just noticed that Wacks finally did pick the winner for Weeks 15 & 16 (about a week late then she was supposed to, but you have to make allowances for Reading fans ). Nice to see the late John Perrin selected as the winner. So it's time to go again. The winner is to be selected this Saturday (July 17). Does anyone (who hasn't chosen yet this year) want to pick the winner?

OK, I've got two nominations which I will post as seperate posts.
The first is to Tony Olsson, on the fantastic job he's done as Race Director this year. Olsson just lets the track staff get on their jobs, and the results has been some great racetracks for the GPs this year. In fact, I'd like to extend my nomination to: Tony Olsson and all those involved in preparing the 2010 Cardiff track. Top job.

I have to admit it took to while to decide whether to make this next nomination for flapperjack of Mutt's Nuts. But I think it has to be for the Nuts. Yes, I'm nominating Nicki Pedersen for the constant entertainment he brings to the GP series. Hardly a round passes without Nicki P "losing it" and having either an on-track incident or having a bust-up with another rider - sometimes both. Cardiff was a perfect example. Come Heat 19 and Nicki is on top form. First of all, he sends Davey Watt scuttling off his bike. And when the referee boobs and excludes Watt, we get even more entertainment in the re-run, as Nicki P starts a four-lap crusade to try to fence Hans Andersen. He eventually succeeds - but after the race has finished. And then when I watch the Sky coverage the following morning, I see Nicki and Hans doing some syronisched swimming moves as they argue in the pits, at which point I was nearly wetting myself with laughter. ;D So I would like to nominate Nicki for being the most entertaining rider in the GP series. Long may he continue to throw the toys out of his pram. ;D

Any sport needs heroes and villians, and depending on your viewpoint he falls into one of those categories. In fact I think we should christen him the Marmite Man........ love him or hate him, the sport certainly needs him, and others like him !!!

Chris Holder for me purely for winning Cardiff. Nicki is entertainment and of that there can be no doubt but he's also a dick and can, at times, make what is already an extremely dangerous sport doubly dangerous. Honorable mention to Jason Crump for the black armband in memory of John Perrin. Crumpie was quoted today in the Manchester Evening News after being asked about his spat with Holder, 'It was nothing, he had his skirt on and I got my handbag out'

Jarek Hampel for being so magnanimous when Nicki the nutter nearly cut him up. Truly a gentleman, and missed dreadfully at Foxhall this year

Well, it's rare for me & Kev to agree on anything, so therefore Nicki P is the winner of the Mutt's Nuts... which is also based on the fact that no-one came forward to choose, so therefore it goes to who had most nominations, so Nicki wins on two votes.
