I would like to nominate the late John Perrin. Without him, Belle Vue would have died after the loss of Hyde Road. He kept the club alive for many years. He may not have been everyone's cup of tea, but thanks to him, the most famous speedway club name of them all is still around. You beat me to it Genghis. I was going to nominate John for firstly saving Belle Vue back in 87/88 and then keeping us alive (and in the latter years of his tenure almost singlehandedly) until he stepped down in 2004. Secondly, for being, at times very brutally, honest and telling it how it is knowing full well that it would more than likely land him in hot water at the BSPA. Thirdly, for bringing riders such as Crump, Screen, The Morans, Bjerre, Schlein, Jedrzejak, Nilsen, Hamill and Ermolenko to the club. Thanks for everything John. Now, you can once again look after Kelly Moran. May you Rest In Peace.

Wacks volunteers to choose the winner, and then fails to do so. Typical Racers fan Wacks, please could have the decision from Berks please

Ooops, who's to say I wasn't nominating me? ;D Can't give you a decision from Berks, but my one from Oxfordshire (explains me being a bit lacksidaisical atm) is the posthumous award for the Mutts Nuts to the late John Perrin. As said, not everyone's cup of tea, but was BV through & through and a promoter who I genuinly believe had the sports best interest at heart rather than just his own clubs.
