Nicki Pedersen: dropped Britain and Russia (only due to rule changes meaning he couldn't ride there), became World Champion and topped the averages in Sweden and Poland.
Still no ride here or Russia, the same amount of meetings everywhere else in 2010 and struggling in the GPs, but has had a lot of changes to his team.
Jarek Hampel: has flitted in and out of the British League and it hasn't made much difference to his GP results. This year, however, he's performing all round. Why the improvement - attitude, machinery or team?
Jason Crump: rode here and lost out in the GPs; stayed out of Britain for the early part of 2009, won the World Championship. Hard to call him this year as injury is obviously still affecting him.
Tomasz Gollob: very much a mood rider so can't be included in this list.
Rune Holta: ummed and aahed all winter over whether to ride in the GPs, finally decided he would, and has been the key rider in Sweden. Averaging around 6 in Poland, doing okay in the GPs until it comes to the finals.
Scott Nicholls: rode in the GPs and had a pretty dismal year all round. Dropped the GPs and is still struggling abroad, but his performances here have visibly improved.
Greg Hancock: age has to be the only factor with "The Grin". Had a decent run at the GPs over the last couple of years, but now he's dropping off everywhere.
Lee Richardson: unable to start in Britain, no GP rides, immaculate in Sweden. Comes back here and his form has dipped a little across the board. Can't include Poland as he's riding in Liga 1, although doing very well there.
Tai Woffinden: his form in all leagues has dropped since riding in the GPs. Okay, so some will say that's due to his personal circumstances, but, by contrast he pulled off a couple of stunning rides in Copenhagen, although is currently bottom of the standings for the regular 15.
Kenneth Bjerre: started off at a run, looked to be the pacesetter, became selective about riding in Poland and has been overtaken by Hampel. Quite erratic in his league meetings too - is equally likely to have a good one as a bad one.
Thoughts, conclusions?
