Brilliant piece of analysis by Wurz:
"Webber just cannot beam himself out of the way like Scotty in Star Trek"
;D ;D
I'll ask again, Frenchie, but where was Webber supposed to go? He gave Vettel the room to make the pass, Vettel then bodged it, simple as.

F1 cars have brakes don't they ? Yes, and Webber would have been breaking for the corner already. As Wurz said, Webber cannot make his car magically disppear. Vettel crashed into him, not the other way around. But I suspect that this is a wind-up, as you and Christian Horner are the only two people in the entire world who blame Webber for the crash. Either that or you've got money on the Golden Boy, which you've now realised you're likely to lose.

My take on it. Webber was supposedly fuel saving - did the team tell him Vettel was quicker, and why was Webber the only one they'd told to drop the revs when the team say they treat both their drivers equally, and neither one had to drive particularly aggressively over the course of the race? In fact, if either of them needed to save fuel it should have been Vettel, who was being pushed by the McLarens.
As Vettel overtook Webber they were coming up to a left-hander, but not yet in the braking zone. The line into that bend would have been to cut to the outside of the track (Webber's side) which I can only assume is the reason Vettel swung over to the right. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, if he'd thought he was ahead (which he was marginally) he would have seen that he was entitled to take the racing line. Only problem was he wasn't yet past Webber.
I can see that Vettel is not 100% to blame for the crash - the team should take their fair share too. But unless Webber was told Vettel was quicker than him and on a different strategy he would have assumed he was racing. He didn't give his team-mate much room, but he left him enough. If anyone's to blame then Webber must come last in line.

- the team should take their fair share too. Very true Schumster, Red Bull should issue Webber a race jacket with a big number 2 on it, then everyone would 'get the picture'.

A change of tune from Mr. Horner: www.planetf1.com/news/18227/6184186/Horner-All-is-equal-time-to-move-onNot sure if this will help, the damage was done by Horner's remarks following the race, when he (remarkably) pinned the blame onto Webber's shoulders. I reckon Horner has recevied a right ear bashing from Webber and is now trying to backtrack on his previous comments. Might be too late, though. Webber must realise now that Vettel is favoured above him, and may well be looking for a new team for 2011 (Ferrari, Renault or Mercedes?).

The bottom line is the comments and actions have caused more damage to Red Bull, as a team, than any racing incident could have done.
