It appears that Swale Borough Council have granted planning permission for speedway to be introduced at the local greyhound track. The prospective promoter has previously stated that he requires a seven year period to stand any chance of recouping his investment at the stadium. Fingers tightly crossed that professional speedway returns to Kent after many, many years....1987 in fact

In fact, you could argue in that aspect it's more professional than EL, where quite often (well any track where Horton promoted) the riders are not paid
