So with Hatcham Stuartroad NewCrossThingy having picked Sky Sports (therefore a lucky escape for the Charlie Webster for her Heat 15 Olsen-up over the Rye coin toss), it's time to start again.
Munners, would you like to pick the winner on Saturday, April 24?

Anyone who suggested her as a possible winner, obviously has no concept of how television production works......The poor girl was clearly 'hung out to dry'. She has an earpiece, though which a director barks instructions, and he(possibly one of the team who subjected us to the Div 2 crap in the first place) made her look a complete and utter fool.

She didn't toss the coin(either time!!) she merely was told the first time was unacceptable, and then told it was....Of course we wouldn't expect you to see the bigger picture !! Maybe too much time spent looking at your 'trick track' has narrowed your horizons.

Hatcham, you're a fine one to talk about narrow horizons, when you can't see out of the top division, and can't appreciate speedway at Premier League level.

Do you not see the basis of my whole point Genghis ? The Elite league is being destroyed by the Premier and the lack of ambition being shown by many of it's promotions. Hopefully within the next couple of years, both the elite and premier will be discarded, and we will have adopted a sensible two leagues(one better one worse, or a North and south) because the current situation is absolutely farsical. Maybe you could explain to me why if Elite promotions are going to at least make some sort of effort to attract top quality riders, they should not be rewarded with television coverage ? And why riders such as McGowan, Johnston, and Lyons are allowed to ride in Div 2 when they are better than many Div 1 reserves. Crazy thing is Genghis, i now maybe go to 3 or 4 matches/meetings a season, if speedway dies, i'll be sad but it's only a small part of my life, i would imagine someone like yourself however would be absolutely devastated...........And yet you refuse to see beyond the end of your nose....... Speedway fans need to stop burying their heads in the sand, and start expending every ounce of breath on demanding an independant body to run the sport..

Hatcham, I actually agree with much of what you say above - about scrapping the leagues and starting again, and bringing in an independent body. However, as it currently stands at the moment, I think that the Premier League is the better prouduct, in terms of balance of teams, quality of racing, and value for money. The Elite League is a very poor product. Sad but true.

Sorry Genghis but I'm nomination Lukas Dryml.
On the basis of tonight's showing he has to be crowned 'Worst Visiting Rider' to Belle Vue. Even Ricky Wells put in a better performance that Lukas did tonight.

I'd like to nominate young Lewis Bridger.. for being a bloody know it all and not using the extensive Knowledge of Mike "the Bike" Lee to help him with his piss poor engines... in the words of Francis Bacon "Knowledge and human power are synonymous, since the ignorance of the cause frustrates the effect. "

It's not me who is the narrow minded one If nothing else, you at least make me smile ML.. Do you not remember i used to be known as 'the voice of reason' here ? Anyway i feel i have a moral obligation to drag Luddites such as yourself, kicking and screaming into the 21st century..

I agree with ML, when it comes to the relative worth of the Elite & Premier Leagues.

And in the democracy that we live in, all of your opinions are as valid as each others. I tend to agree with NewCrossRanger about the "I'm alright Jack" mentality of the PL, they have no inclination to strive for the EL, but on the other hand I can honestly understand why they do not. It seems to me that the PL have it right regarding payment etc., which the EL almost managed to bring in last season, except that we know who broke ranks and encouraged the stay aways back So looks like the only way forward to save speedway realistically, is to scrap the EL/PL and amalamate in some form or other, and all start from a level playing field.......(lol like that is ever going to happen )
