THREE THOUGHTS 1. Vettel just has no luck 2. Hamilton is an out of control lunatic 3. How the fuck did Massa finish on the podium ? Spot on. Agree about Webber too, but come on genghis, passing Alonso? That was never going to happen. Hamilton would have just done his usual kamikaze routine and taken the pair of them out. And what's with the whining about the second stop? He was the one bitching about his tyres, so they brought him in. And then he bitched about THAT. And NOW he's bitching about the team. Not a great move, Lewis, especially when the team are talking so highly about Button.

1. But he drove off the track. It doesn't matter how much money you had on him, he fucked it up with a stupid mistake. Didn't you see the entry to the corner? Something went on the back of the car and there was nothing he could do. Red Bull need to sort that car if they want to be champions.

1. But he drove off the track. It doesn't matter how much money you had on him, he fucked it up with a stupid mistake. 2. Yes, but that's what makes Hamilton box office. He's from the old school of F1 drivers, rather than the slightly dull crop of recent years. Hamilton just loves to race. 3. Why should Massa let Alonso past? And if Alonso is so much quicker and talented, then he should be able to pass Massa. But he couldn't. Actually, financially it was a good race for me, i backed Vettel at 7/4 before the qualifiers, but then backed Button at an incredible 6/4, when he was gifted the race! When Vettel's car failed on him, Hamilton was 4/6 favourite, which to me seemed strange. Well the bookies don't have a clue then. It was Button's race from the moment that Vettel went off. I still think Hamilton made have had to stop for tyres. McLaren at the moment are saying it was a bad call to bring him in, but once the telemetry is in, I expect it to show that Hamilton's tyres would not have lasted. He was driving a barnstormer, the outside pass on Rosberg really was something. But at the same time, that costs on the tyres. Had Hamilton stayed out, it's likely that his tyres would have been in even worse shape than those of Kubica, Massa and Alonso. Button's big advantage is the fact he can cruise around without damaging his tyres. He's the Mr. Smooth of F1. Under the regulations of this year, that's a big plus. So it could be back-to-back World Championships for the Mighty Button

So far we haven't mentioned the 10th placed-finish for the Mercedes No. 2 driver. In his 40's, back after many years away and driving an inferior car, i agree Genghis we should commend MS for getting among the points...

Red Bull will never be champions, for starters they don't have champion drivers. And the team boss is too weak - today he left them out too long when everyone else was pitting and it cost Webber, who then tried to compensate by driving like a lunatic. And it won't be long before Red Bull are pulled up for their illegal car.

After a similar time out of the sport, Niki Lauda returned in 1982 and ended up winning his third race back. Lauda was a contender for the championship in 1982, and then won it in 1984. Let's see if Schumacher can match that. At the moment, Schumacher is just confirming the theory that had there been more world class drivers about in the 1994-2004 period, he wouldn't have found nearly as easy. I mean even Jacques Bloody Villeneuve won a World Championship during that period.

And whatever you think about Hamilton, you have to admit that he was bloody entertaining again today. It's never dull when he's in the thick of the racing.

And here's hoping that Webber is given a 10-place grid penatly for the next race for his stupid, suidical move on Hamilton. After all, it cost Hamilton World Championship points, therefore Webber should be penalised.

I know nothing about Lauda and am not sure of his relevance to this discussion, however considering your stance over Vettel and Massa, i'm rather surprised you're not congratulating MS. Vettel was favourite before the qualifiers and was odds on to win this morning, Webber was second favourite and Hamilton was 4/6 to win after Vettel's departure(regardless of the reason) and yet Ms scored more points today than the three of them put together. Is this another case of genghis double standards ?

Schumacher stopped three times and was stuck behind a slower car for a large portion of that race.

and was stuck behind a slower car for a large portion of that race ... because Schumacher finds it difficult to pass other drivers. Now there's no re-fuelling, he's fucked. ;D

So what is Hamilton whinging about, the move only cost him one place ? he should consider himself lucky, and work a bit harder in the qualifiers.

And, to be honest, after the move he pulled on the Schum the first time - weaving all over the track - I'm surprised he wasn't pulled up for it. Notice you can't argue with the pit stop. Look at the times - take 30 seconds off for that and he'd have finished ahead of Lewis.

I can't help but think we've veered from the real story of today's race, which was the masterful display from the current World Champion.
The mighty Button even made the call himself to come in and change to slicks.
