An early morning race for us, starting at 7am, or you can catch the replay from around 1pm. Me, I prefer to watch it live, because you can guarantee if you wait you'll end up finding out the result before you see it.
So it's advantage Ferrari as we head off to Australia, and McLaren and four other teams (one of which is meant to be Mercedes) have had to modify the holes in their diffusers after the FIA closed a loophole they'd previously been exploiting.
Still expect the Red Bulls to have the pace to beat Massa and Alonso, providing they don't have the engine issues which seem to be blighting them since the end of 2008.
And I don't expect Rosberg to be 0.4 up on Schumacher this weekend - the gap will be closing. But can Jenson close the gap to Hamilton?
Early concerns about the wear on brakes given the heavier fuel loads seem to be disappearing, and, although Bahrain was particularly dull, they're sticking with the ban on refuelling, despite several drivers disliking the new rule.

Things go from bad to worse for Lewis Hamilton - he only managed to qualify 11th while his team mate will start from 4th, and now the other drivers are questioning his commitment. A better weekend so far for Red Bull, however, who have a 1-2 on the grid, with Vettel again on pole. The Schum starts in 7th behind Massa (5th), with Rosberg on his right (6th). Alonso qualified 3rd.

It's more noticeable that a certain 7-times World Champion has again been outqualified by his team-mate, a driver who has never won a single race. Schumacher really has everything to lose by making this comeback. It was suspected that he has only so successful because of the lack of decent competition after Mansell, Prost & Senna all left F1 for various reasons. And now by returning in an era where the standard of drivers has improved again, that theory could be borne out.

And what a knob Mark Webber is. Lewis Hamilton provides much of the entertainment, with some stunning overtakes - the one around Rosberg was fantastic. But just as he's about to pass Alonso, he gets punted from behind by knobhead Webber. Regarding the stop for tyres, I think McLaren will tell Lewis that they had to bring him in. The way he was putting it about, I doubt if the tyres would have lasted. EDIT: And it seems Button made the decision to stop early for tyres. Just shows what a great driver he is.

Vettel just has no luck 2. Hamilton is an out of control lunatic 3. How the fuck did Massa finish on the podium ?

The rear brake thing is just an excuse used regularly in F1. Vettel make a mistake. End of. 2. Surely you mean Webber. Hamilton didn't take anyone else off the track - Webber did. 3. Because he derserved to. He beat Alonso in a fair fight.

No i mean Hamilton...As i posted on facebook straight after the incident, speedway loving Webber may have been at fault for the 'coming together' but the way the spoilt, overindulged Hamilton regularly loses his head, tragedy and drama will always be just around the corner. 3. No Massa did not deserve 3rd, his driving was atrocious, he was very fortunate and cost Ferrari points by holding back his much quicker and more talented team mate.

It doesn't matter how much money you had on him, he fucked it up with a stupid mistake. 2. Yes, but that's what makes Hamilton box office. He's from the old school of F1 drivers, rather than the slightly dull crop of recent years. Hamilton just loves to race. 3. Why should Massa let Alonso past? And if Alonso is so much quicker and talented, then he should be able to pass Massa. But he couldn't.

So far we haven't mentioned the 10th placed-finish for the Mercedes No. 2 driver.

Actually, financially it was a good race for me, i backed Vettel at 7/4 before the qualifiers, but then backed Button at an incredible 6/4, when he was gifted the race! When Vettel's car failed on him, Hamilton was 4/6 favourite, which to me seemed strange.
