Word reached me from a normally reliable source today that Colin Horton has sold out to Phil Wing.
Can anyone confirm or deny this?

please help me Kev, (you have to remember I'm new to Speedway ) who's Phil Wing? Jacques, He's been at Peterborough before - with either Ian Jarvis or Jim Lynch. Can't remember which - it got very political between these three and Mick Horton. Kev - I heard the same rumour a couple of days ago.

thankyou Genghis, would you class it as a good move? I can't remember which particular season Wing was in charge or joint charge - it did change regurlarly. However, ANYTHING has to be a good move for Peterborough at the moment - the alternative is oblivion.

Is this news you've heard today?
Phil certainly seemed an asset last time he was involved in the club but I thought his interests were more with the ice hockey team now?

Thinking about it, and I can't quite remember so you'll have to forgive me, but I do have a feeling that he was last involved when Ian Jarvis was there. Think they had a falling out, but I really can't recall the full details so I may be making this up

Think they had a falling out, but I really can't recall the full details so I may be making this up It was Wing, Jarvis & Lynch but Lynch went when he gave Sullivan permission to miss Ippo on a GP week. I think? Wing and Jarvis also brought Mick Horton on board and sold to him (we nearly folded ). Wing has been involved in the ice hockey since he left but as it's pants I don't follow it. Interesting rumour though & perhaps not out of the question. Hopefully Bratters survives any cull if it comes to pass.

Is there any reason why this rumour hasn't yet surfaced on the BSF site (or has it and I've missed it?)

Is there any reason why this rumour hasn't yet surfaced on the BSF site (or has it and I've missed it?) We probably have the most vocal members from all camps except for Poole and Coventry here, and that's no bad thing, so we do tend to keep up with the news. Plus we don't delete the juicy bits.
