Schumi, Schumacher had crap team-mates, no oppostion and the best car. Senna had Prost and Berger as team-mates, drove during F1's zenith and only had the best car in two seasons. I've got a maths degree, and I know whow But not one in English ? Nope. Definitely not.

Anyway I once worked out the 20 best drivers of all-time, by finding out their success co-efficient.
These stats only relate up until the end of 2006 (i.e. the time of Schumacher's retirement).
The list is: 1. Senna 2. Fangio 3. Schumacher 4. Lauda 5. Clark 6. Prost 7. Moss 8. Stewart 9. Mansell 10. Ascari 11. Brabham 12. Fittipaldi 13. Alonso 14. Piquet 15. G. Hill 16. Jones 17. Hakkinen 18. G. Villeneuve 19. D. Hill 20. Peterson

In your head maybe. I think the Star Championship at a packed Wembley is more of a World Championship that anything else held before 1936. I guess you'd choose some two-bob meeting at New Cross, but if you think New Cross were bigger than Wembley, then you're even more deluded than I suspected.

I'm talking HISTORY Genghis, Wembley were of course far and away the biggest speedway club from any era in any country and i'm not referring to meetings held at New Cross, the original World Champion races were held prior to New Cross existance. I'm simply talking facts. It's a bit like someone believing in religion and then altering ancient scriptures to fit in with what they see as more convenient.

Hatcham, you're making up your own history. A couple of promoters decided to call an event an unsanctioned event "The World Championship". However, for the previous couple of season a much bigger event at Wembley called the Star Championship was already taking place. That was the biggest event on the calendar - not some make believe World Championship. In any case, it was Vic Huxley who was make believe World Champion, not Ron Johnstone.
