BRIGGO SETS SPEEDWAY DINNER DATES

FOUR times World Champion and former speedway legend, Barry Briggs, is returning to the UK next month for a series of special speedway dinners around the country.
The dinners are set to promote the release of his new book “Wembley and beyond” and the former champion will be on hand to sign copies and talk about the new volume.
The events will begin in the Midlands on Sunday 13th December with dates set for Swindon the following night Monday 14th December and Poole on Wednesday 16th December. Tickets are now available through Briggs’ brand new website www.briggo.net
Cost for the evening, which includes a 3 course meal, after dinner chat and book signing, is £25.00. But, for those keen to get up close to the star, there is a VIP “Champion’s” ticket at £35.00 which gets additional entry into a limited private reception with the man himself beforehand, providing an early chance to meet and have books signed in a more exclusive setting.
The book itself has been written for the first time entirely by Briggo alone and brings to life the incredible story of his adventures within the sport and beyond.
“This time I don’t feel the need to hold back”, insists Barry, 75 next month, “It’s a lot easier now to tell it exactly as it was”. Readers will be treated to previously untold stories of his career in speedway as well as his many colourful exploits since, as he unveils the triumphs, trials and tragedies that have contributed to a “life like no other”
