The Somerset ‘Dickies’ Rebels have today released Lubos Tomicek from their line up. A management spokesman stated; “Lubos has now completed ten meetings for us, and although he had a good debut for the Rebels, unfortunately that level has not been maintained. We have left it to the last possible moment to allow Lubos to try and regain his form, but we had to make the team change prior to him obtaining a new green sheet average, which could have see him drop to reserve, and the team lose vital points for any future replacement.” “We would like to thank Lubos for all his efforts and hope that he finds another team place in the near future. He has been extremely easy to deal with, we were all hoping that his form would pick up, even to the extent of other team riders loaning him equipment in an attempt to help him.” Somerset have already replaced Tomicek with a new rider who will come into the Rebels line up in the number one berth, and will make his debut this Friday (18th June) in Somerset’s home Premier League match against Berwick. The Rebels management are, however, keeping the name of the new rider ‘under wraps’ until unveiling him to the Somerset fans at Friday’s meeting, and will only comment that it is a rider with Elite League experience. www.somerset-rebels.co.uk
