Currently there's a film being made about Krzysztof Cegielski's career and his life after his accident, which tragically put an end to his career. Krzysztof hopes it will be finished by next spring, and although it's not yet known where it will be shown, the film will be available to buy - presumably on DVD.
Translation of what he says about his situation currently:
Rehabilitation is very hard. I practice all the time, where I trained in Krakow. I swim a lot, which is about one kilometer per day, and actually half an hour. I do a lot of various exercises at home. I am in very good physical shape. I'm working on increasing the muscle tension in my legs. This is not a trivial issue, because I had a damaged spinal cord. I have achieved a lot so far - I stand every day. I walk, with help of course, but I try to do this every day for three hours so I don't forget how. You could say that I'm fine - I feel good, but I have to frequently move in a wheelchair - admits Krzysztof Cegielski .
