Currently there's a film being made about Krzysztof Cegielski's career and his life after his accident, which tragically put an end to his career. Krzysztof hopes it will be finished by next spring, and although it's not yet known where it will be shown, the film will be available to buy - presumably on DVD. Translation of what he says about his situation currently: Rehabilitation is very hard. I practice all the time, where I trained in Krakow. I swim a lot, which is about one kilometer per day, and actually half an hour. I do a lot of various exercises at home. I am in very good physical shape. I'm working on increasing the muscle tension in my legs. This is not a trivial issue, because I had a damaged spinal cord. I have achieved a lot so far - I stand every day. I walk, with help of course, but I try to do this every day for three hours so I don't forget how. You could say that I'm fine - I feel good, but I have to frequently move in a wheelchair - admits Krzysztof Cegielski . www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2009/10/29/cegielski-dla-sportowefaktypl-zyczylbym-sobie-zeby-film-zost/

Thanks for posting this Schumi. Ceggy's departure from the sport affected me more than perhaps that of any other rider who has sadly seen injury end their career. I don't know whether it was because he rode for us, was a thoroughly decent lad who had so much talent or what... The speedway world was certainly robbed of someone who had the potential of being a great rider.
So pleased that he is still fighting, it somehow epitomises what i remember of him. I hope that some sort of English language version of this DVD will be made available - am certain plenty of people would like to see it.
Edit - would you mind if I copied your post over to the Poole forum (or perhaps you might like to post it yourself as i know you're a member). I'm sure the Poole fans would like to read what you've posted.
